WHY NOT USE cartoons to illustrate books? Fortunately a lot of people publishing their own books think this is a great idea. I have illustrated a lot of books over the years. The Book of Football Quotations published by Hutchinson, the first publisher of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle‘s works, was one of the first covers I drew, and I’m afraid, it shows, although some of the interior illustrations were a bit better, like the one of George Best inside a bottle of champagne.
The most recent cartoon commission for a book was from Eva Kicmerova who wrote The Hamster Diet fitness and well-being book.
There are a lot of other cartoon illustrations in my galleries on this site, but I hope you enjoy the ones here that were produced for books.
