THE MAIL ON SUNDAY newspaper commissioned me to illustrate an article about a war of words between the top two airline industry bosses, Willie Walsh and Sir Nigel Rudd.
The original illustration, below, was edited to fit the print page but appears in its entirety in the online edition ( a link will be inserted when it goes live).
This is the ideal sort of commission for me, where I can mix caricatures with cartoon elements to form a complete illustration of a topical news item. for while I’m not a Topical or Political Cartoonist, I do like to reflect the day’s news in my cartoons. I can ‘paint a thousand words’ with my cartoon illustrations and I think this one certainly does describe what is reported in the article.
